(Term Ending in 2011) Hung Chang is a corporate counsel with Autonomy, Inc. At Autonomy, Inc., Hung reviews and negotiates a wide variety of agreements such as complex software license agreements and professional service agreements. Prior to joining Autonomy, Inc., Hung was the acting general counsel at PlayFirst, Inc., where he oversaw all legal matters related to the operation of the company, such as negotiating development agreements with external video game developers, enforcing PlayFirst’s intellectual properties against infringers and competitors, advising on issues related to marketing and promotions, and determining employee exemption status. Hung also helps and advises Hyphen Magazine, an all-volunteer-run non-profit magazine as its legal counsel on a pro-bono basis.

Prior to serving on AABA’s Board of Directors, Hung served as a co-chair of AABA’s community service committee from 2007 to 2009. As a co-chair, Hung works with the rest of the committee members to organize many volunteering and community-outreach opportunities, including the monthly clinics for the low-income clients with the assistance of Asian Pacific Island Legal Outreach. Hung looks forward to working with the new Officers and Board to serve the needs of AABA’s members and the community-at-large.

(Term Ending in 2013) Rhean is a Deputy City Attorney with the City of Daly City. Her practice primarily consists of representing the city in various proceedings and hearings before official bodies and counseling department heads in establishing and recommending changes in policies and procedures to meet legal requirements.

Prior to being elected to the Board, she was co-chair of the Newsletter Committee for four years and the Operations Director for two years. Rhean is also the President of the Filipino Bar Association of Northern California (FBANC) and has previously served as the group's representative to the Minority Bar Coalition.

She received her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law and her B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara.


Daisy J. Hung

(Term ending in 2012) Daisy Hung is the Diversity Pipeline Programs Manager at the Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF). She handles a number of BASF’s programs seeking to increase diversity in the legal profession, including the minority law student scholarship program, diversity career fair, judicial mentorship program, charity golf tournament, and others.

Prior to joining BASF, Daisy was a public interest attorney assisting low-income Asian and Pacific Islander clients. Daisy was a Staff Attorney at Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach where she directed the Domestic Violence Program, and practiced family law and immigration. She was also a Staff Attorney at Asian Law Alliance where she practiced housing law.

Daisy has been active in AABA since 2006, first as a Social Committee co-chair, and then as a co-chair of both the Social Committee and the Community Services Committee. She also served on the Asian Pacific Bar Association of Silicon Valley’s Board of Directors from 2007-2008. Currently, she as on the Board of Directors for Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach, and is a charter member of the Equity Advisory Committee of the San Francisco Human Rights Commission.

(Term Ending in 2013) Khurshid Khoja is an attorney in the San Francisco office of Reed Smith LLP, where his practice focuses on the development, construction and financing of wind power and other renewable energy projects. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Asian Law Caucus and the Board of Trustees of the NASABA Foundation. Khurshid has previously served on the Board of Directors of the Bay Area Association of Muslim Lawyers, as President of the South Asian Bar Association of Northern California, and as an elected member of the County Council of the Green Party of Alameda County.

Khurshid received his J.D. from the U.C. Berkeley School of Law, where he served as President of the Class of 2001. Khurshid is also an alumnus of The University of Chicago (M.A., International Relations) and DePaul University (B.A. with High Honor, Political Science) and previously worked at the Henry L. Stimson Center in Washington D.C., where he focused on promoting peace, confidence-building and nuclear risk reduction measures between Pakistan and India.

(Term ending in 2012) Eumi Lee is an Associate Clinical Professor of Law at Hastings College of the Law. She teaches the Individual Representation Clinic, which serves low-income clients in housing, benefits, and employment cases, as well as seminars in professional responsibility and national security issues. Before teaching at Hastings, Eumi practiced at Keker & Van Nest and Thelen Reid & Priest, focusing on criminal defense and complex commercial litigation. She also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Warren J. Ferguson, U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit, and the Honorable Jerome Turner, U.S. District Court, Western District of Tennessee.

Eumi formerly served as a Co-Chair of the Scholarship, Social, and Community Service Committees, during which time she helped reinstitute the AABA/APILO clinic in San Francisco. Beyond committee duties, Eumi coordinated and drafted the amicus brief on behalf of Fred Korematsu, AABA, BASF, and others in Rumsfeld v. Padilla, 542 U.S. 426 (2004).

(Term ending in 2012) Noelle Nguyen is a Staff Attorney at The Law Offices of Santana & Hart, an in-house firm for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. Specifically, her practice is focused on representing Liberty Mutual’s insureds in civil litigation and worker’s compensation matters throughout all stages of litigation. Prior to joining the firm during law school, Noelle served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Kevin McCarthy of the Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco.

Noelle has been an active member of AABA since law school. Most recently, she served as co-chair of the Mentorship Committee. Noelle received her J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law and undergraduate degree from UC Irvine.

(Term ending 2011) Eugene Pak is an attorney in the San Francisco office of DLA Piper LLP (US). Eugene specializes in intellectual property law and litigation. He regularly represents companies in the areas of anti-counterfeiting, trademark and copyright infringement, domain names, unfair competition, trade secret disputes, and general commercial litigation. Eugene also advises clients on selecting, registering, and maintaining their trademarks domestically and abroad, as well as on copyright matters. Eugene began his career at the Legal Aid Society/Employment Law Center where he was the Felix Velarde Munoz Fellow. He is the past president of the Korean American Bar Association of Northern California, and served on the board of the Korean Community Center of the East Bay. He previously co-chaired the AABA Community Services Committee, and currently manages the AABA website and e-mail list. In 2005, Eugene was named one of the 21 "Best Lawyers Under 40" by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA). Eugene received his J.D. from Boalt Hall School of Law and undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan.

(Term ending in 2011) Ted Ting is a partner in Reed Smith's San Francisco office, where he focuses on commercial disputes, financial services litigation, and real property litigation. He is currently on an extended secondment to Bank of America.

His past experience includes defending against a putative home loan class action, defending a title insurance company against a former agent’s multi-million dollar contract claims, obtaining a very favorable result for a Chinese company in a Las Vegas-venued stock purchase/employment agreement dispute, negotiating a favorable settlement of a construction defect case for a Fortune 500 client, and defending an eminent domain case for a national media company.

Ted is a deputy practice group leader for his firm's Commercial Litigation Group and an Associate Development Partner. He has been active on diversity related efforts as a member of the Hiring Committee and head of the Oakland Summer Associate Program. Ted has also been on the board of the Alameda County Bar Association and the California Bar Foundation.

(Term ending in 2013) Salle E. Yoo is a partner in Davis Wright Tremaine LLP's San Francisco office. Salle specializes in energy related matters, regularly representing her clients in energy regulatory, transactional and litigation matters in both state and federal venues. Salle is a leader within DWT, serving on DWT's Associate Committee, Pro Bono Committee, Prism Committee and Alignment Project Steering Committee.

Salle's involvement with AABA began as a volunteer in AABA's pro bono legal services clinics. Since 2005, Salle has actively participated in AABA's Judiciary Committee, serving as Co-Chair since 2007. She is dedicated to increasing the diversity of both the federal and state bench in Northern California and increasing the pipeline for judicial candidates of color within California.

Salle is the Past President of the Korean American Bar Association of Northern California and the Past President of the Korean American Chamber of Commerce of the North Pacific Coast. She has served as a member of the Citizens' Advisory Committee (South-Beach/Rincon Hill) to the SF Redevelopment Agency. Salle is a founding member and current co-chair of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association's Climate Change and Sustainability Committee. Currently, she is a member of the Museum Council for the Asian Art Museum.
