Berkeley Law seeks part-time lecturers to teach LL.M. Legal Research and Writing during the fall 2021 semester. Berkeley LL.M. students are highly accomplished lawyers, judges, and professionals, who come from over fifty countries. Most LL.M. students are slightly older than J.D. students on average, have a professional attitude, and are a great pleasure to teach.

Qualified candidates will have a J.D. or LL.M. from the U.S. or Canada, and at least one year of legal work experience in the U.S.– either in law practice, a law-related J.D./LL.M. required/preferred position, or law school teaching. Successful candidates will be able to explain complex concepts clearly, be committed to providing detailed individualized feedback on student writing, have the ability to connect with students interpersonally, and demonstrate enthusiasm for working with international students.

At this point, we are planning to teach classes in person during the fall semester, but the possibility of teaching remotely on Zoom exists, depending on the public health situation. Each LRW section will meet once weekly for 110 minutes at either 8:00 a.m., 3:35 p.m., or 6:25 p.m., from August 17 - November 24.
