Santa Clara University is recruiting for instructors to help teach our Advanced Legal Writing: The Bar Exam course. ALW is Santa Clara’s principal Bar preparation program. The course hones timed analytical writing skills necessary to pass the Bar Exam. Through extensive practice, students develop a solid understanding of organization, depth, and precision required on the essay and performance test portions of the Bar Exam. Students write weekly practice exams in and out of class, and will receive regular feedback from their instructor. Concurrent with their small writing section, students attend large lectures reviewing legal rules for Torts, Contracts, and Criminal Law, and receive expert advice on MBE strategies. Enrollment is limited to students in their final semester of law school.

ALW sections during the spring semester will meet either on Mondays at 12:50pm to 2:30pm, or at 5:40pm to 7:20pm.

ALW is a program of the Office of Academic & Bar Success.
