Our Land Use Practice Group is seeking candidates with 3-5 years of non-litigation land use experience. Ideal candidates will have experience representing developers and property owners in obtaining land use settlements, with a strong background in planning and zoning law, CEQA compliance, and municipal law. Basic real estate transactional experience is desirable.

Government Transactional Associate (1-2 years of experience)

The Government Section has an opening for a junior associate to assist the firm's public agency clients. We serve as general counsel and special counsel to a variety of local government agencies, and are looking for a transactional attorney whose background demonstrates an interest in government and community affairs. The ideal candidate will have some experience in handling legal issues our clients address on a regular basis, such as transparency and open meeting laws, conflict of interests, competitive bidding and procurement, public works projects, rate setting, and public contracting. Responsibilities include researching and writing, reviewing and drafting contracts, analyzing issues, and advising clients.
