    ACLU California Action seeks a Legislative Advocate or Legislative Attorney.

    The Approach:

    You are a thoughtful, solution-oriented leader. You have the ability to easily balance multiple projects coming at you at once while staying focused on the details that matter.

    The Position:

    Research, analyze and draft policy and state budget proposals for legislative, executive, and judicial branches, as well as related documents (including position letters, floor alerts, and other advocacy materials in collaboration with internal policy and communications staff and outside partners) in support of or opposition to legislative and other proposals; lobby public officials in support or opposition to legislative and budget proposals, negotiate and draft amendments with public officials, staff, and other advocates; prepare and deliver testimony on pending legislation and policy proposals; participate in and/or lead legislative coalitions and other stakeholder groups with a broad spectrum of allies and staff.
